I think I’m going to try Zumba this week. I’m nervous because I don’t think I’ll be very good at it! I’m hearing great things about it though. Even if I just flail around and huff and puff, it’ll be a good workout. Hopefully people don’t think there’s something wrong with me. LOL. I also hope that I’m not overwhelmed with a bunch of sexy skinny good dancers!

  1. The Zumba classes I’ve peeked in on always has a row of gorgeous, coordinated supermodels at the front of the class, strutting their stuff like the Three Graces. Behind them are the normal people, who miss steps, have hair falling out of their ponytails and who are having an awesome time. I hope you find it as fun as it looks to be!

  2. It is a blast Lisa! I took the course to teach, but decided I should lose weight first before teaching….ha and it didn’t happen because I am LAZY. But when I was doing Zumba once a week I felt SO good. Don’t worry what you look like, as long as you are trying and moving and having fun…you will feel good and be burning calories. =D

  3. You will LOVE Zumba…and you won’t be the only one stumbling around. My sister is a Zumba instructor and is in the best shape of her life! It’s such a fun class and you don’t even feel like you are working out. Hope you love it!

  4. You’ll have fun! Don’t worry, most people in Zumba have their eyes glued to the instructor trying to keep their steps straight! It’s super fun, but after a few sessions, the dance major in me started to get bored- but it is good cardio. Hope you have fun!

  5. I do Zumba and suck at it! HA! It’s still fun! I just make sure I’m not by the door or window where all the “outsiders” can see. Plus, you move to fast for anyone in the class to be worrying about anyone but themselves. Enjoy!

  6. I’ve never taken an actual Zumba class, but a woman I work with teaches it and absolutely loves it. I think it’s supposed to be really fun and a great workout. Have fun!

  7. Have fun! You won’t be overwhelmed by a bunch of good dancers. GOod dancers go dancing, not to Zumba 🙂 (And I say this as a HORRIBLE dancer)
